Jean Oubre
Although Jean is a native Texan, she has lived in Louisiana for over 50 years. She is 58 years married to Tommy Oubre, who was a welder for a company that had a business motto of "Anything but a Broken Heart"

She opened an "Arts and Crafts" shop in 1972 and then worked as The Gallery as our coordinator for 7 years. She taught crafts of all kinds and also taught painting, having taken classes from many nationally known teachers.

Jean is active in the community as a "Pink Lady", member of Attaboysas Study  Club, Order of the Eastern Star, First Baptist Church, and charter member of The Crowley Art Association.

Her love of Arts and Crafts has filled her life with many rewarding experiences. Jean feels everyone should allow some love of creative arts in thier lives. It lifts the spirit and lightens the burdens of everyday life.
