Ella Ann Joubert
Ann Ella Joubert's love for color has led her down many creative path; and her experimentation with many different media has taught her the benefits and limitations of each. Using oils, watercolors, acrylics, and pastels, she often uses mixed media to achieve her goal. Primarily an impressionest, Joubert also paints abstractly. She loves to watch the color transform the paper or canvas into images and illisions. A diverse artist, she also writes poems and songs about her paintings. Ann Ella also illustrated a book titled "The Mermaid of Bayou Caillou" written by Christy Viviano.

This self taught artist has been painting seriously for many years. She has learned from books, videos, workshops, and life itself. She has studied with notable artists such as - Albert Handel, Maxine Masterfield, Miles Bates, Judi Betts, and Douglas Walton. While the works of Monet, Renoir, John Singer Sargent, and Bertha Morrisot continue to challenge her, her greatest inspiration comes from God. Joubert says that Without God she would be nothing, with him she can be everything she wants to be.

Ann Ella's work has been part of exhibits and juried Art Shows throughout the Southestern US and she has received numerous awards.

Ann Ella Joubert is a member of Oil Painters of America, Lafayette Art Association, Crowley Art Association, and Village Art Gallery in Acadian Village.
